Counselling and Psychotherapy

Counselling can provide a confidential space to explore difficult experiences, understand emotional patterns and develop new ways of responding.

You may arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on, or simply knowing that something isn’t feeling right.

Both are okay.

Individual Counselling

Individual counselling provides one-to-one support tailored to your circumstances and goals.

Sessions may explore:

  • trauma
  • anxiety
  • grief
  • relationships
  • attachment
  • emotional regulation
  • boundaries
  • self-worth
  • life transitions
  • difficult experiences

What Can We Work On?

There are a wide range or areas that we can focus on. It really depends on what is most pressing for you, and this can change. Some of the areas I am more experienced with are here.

What Can I Expect?

In the first session we will gently explore what has brought you to counselling and establish the goals you would like to work towards.

Goals are only guides and often change as sessions continue. The sessions will go at your pace.

What happens if I cannot attend a session?

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you are liable for the full fee, unless there is an emergency situation. With less than 24 hours’ notice, it is difficult to fill the timeslot. If you cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice, any money for that session can be used for the subsequent session, or refunded.

What are your fees and how do I pay?

My standard fee is $140 + GST ($154) per 50 minutes session. The fee is to be paid via bank transfer prior to the session. A receipt will be issued to you once the payment is received.
