Online Counselling

Online counselling can provide professional therapeutic support without needing to travel to a physical clinic.

Sessions can be accessed from a private, comfortable environment where you feel safe and able to engage with therapy.

Is Online Counselling Right For Me?

Many people find online therapy helpful. This might be because they

  • live in a rural community where they do not feel comfortable talking with someone they may know in that area.
  • experience social anxiety or have safety concerns and leaving home may be more difficult.
  • enjoy the flexibility of being able to have sessions from home in after hours times.

What Happens During an Online Session?

  1. Connect at your appointment time.
  2. Begin with a check-in.
  3. Explore what is happening for you.
  4. Work towards your therapeutic goals.
  5. Finish with strategies or reflections where appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What software do I need?

I use Microsoft Teams, and I will send you a link that you can access via the internet. You will not need to download any software – you can sign in as ‘guest’.

Can I attend my session via my phone?

Yes! You do not need to be at a desk to take the session.

What happens if there are internet problems?

I will contact you phone, or if that fails because there is an outage on one of the networks (as does happen), I will email or text. We will reschedule within a limited timeframe at no extra charge.

Are my sessions private and confidential?

I conduct all sessions in a private setting. I request that you are also in a private setting, whether that is your home, a vehicle or another private space.

Please see my Privacy and Agreement page

How long are the sessions and how much do they cost?

Sessions last for about 50 minutes and my standard rate is $140.
